What kind of western saddle pad do you use and why? I recently bought a 5 star pad. it's awesome and doesn't leave any dry spots on my boy, which was my biggest concern. It also helps whick away the sweat.

Ok..So I have a new barrel horse named Sissy. She is a grey quarter horse. I don't use her registered name for show because its Bertie's Bonnet. I want a show name that has Sissy in it that way I can use it for the 4-H open shows. If someone could please help me out that would be great!! :)

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to teach a horse not to undo the knot when it is tied up? My filly does it mainly from boredom and to be funny. She plucks at it with her teeth.

When tying up your horse to the string attached to a metal ring one uses a quick-release knot (or you should do!), how many types of 'quick-release knot' do you know; as i know about 2?? xx

One of my friends competition horses is a 'barger' and likes to throw his weight around, so that getting in and out of his stable is a bit of a nightmare!! I have suggested to her about a "breast bar" within the stable door, so that he cannot run away or get out but is there anything else you can think of that might help?? When the horse's owner eventually is inside the stable she always has to tie him up, which is a bit of a hassle and it would be nice for her to not have to worry all the time - as you know with horses we are always in and out od their stables constantly to do things! xx

I am currently living in Alberta, but I am planning on moving back to Ontario near the summer time. Does anyone know of some good boarding barns near toronto? I don't need anything fancy, just pasture board and an indoor arena. I would like to pay less than $200 per horse, I have two.

A couple of friends and I are planning to head out on our first trail ride of the year tomorrow. Just wondering what everyone's favorite time of year for trail riding is and why? :)

Hello, I am 18, very reliable, and currently looking for a job in West Virginia, USA that deals with horses. Do not mind any job that goes into the daily care and maintance of horses. I ride western and gaited, am currently learning english. I also know some and am still studying Natural Horsemanship and have been around the show world. I can drive up to an hour from Shepherdstown, WV. Please let me know if you need help, even just temperary. I do have a reliable means of transportation

I'm thinking of changing my horses registered name to match her sires, from Pebbles in the Snow to Pebbles in the Sand. What's your opinion? Keep name or change name?

How do you get rid of girth sores? Right now I believe my horse has a few directly at the crest of his stomach where the girth sits in between his front legs. I can not tell how badly they bother him since he is not a big complainer and is quite a happy horse. I currently use a regular leather girth. Thanks for the advice!

What is your favorite breed and why? Personally I love quarter horses. They are just so versatile . What do you think?
